Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Boyfriend Chat collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the service.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including chat messages, prompts, uploaded files, support requests, and feedback. We may also collect account or session identifiers, conversation IDs, selected character information, generated responses, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, log data, and security events.
2. Sensitive Information
The service is not designed to collect highly sensitive information. Do not submit passwords, payment card numbers, government identifiers, precise location, health records, biometric data, or information about children unless we specifically request it through a secure channel.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide AI conversations, save and retrieve chat history, authenticate sessions, personalize character selection, operate and secure the service, troubleshoot errors, respond to requests, enforce our terms, prevent abuse, comply with law, and improve service quality.
4. AI Processing
Your prompts and conversation context may be sent to AI model providers so they can generate responses. AI-generated responses may be stored as part of your conversation history. Internal model reasoning is not shown to users and should not be logged or persisted by this service.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, preferences, analytics, security, and service functionality. Browser settings may let you block or delete these technologies, but some features may stop working.
6. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information to service providers that host, store, secure, analyze, or process the service, including database, authentication, hosting, analytics, and AI model providers. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, complete a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.
7. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any required opt-out rights.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on account status, data type, and legal requirements.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, and to appeal or object to certain processing. To make a request, contact privacy@boyfriend-chat.example. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
11. California Privacy Notice
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. In the preceding 12 months, the categories of personal information we may have collected include identifiers, internet or network activity, approximate geolocation, user-generated content, and inferences needed to provide character personalization. We collect these categories for the purposes described above and disclose them to service providers as described above.
12. Do Not Track
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no uniform industry standard for these signals, we do not currently respond to them. We will honor legally required opt-out preference signals where applicable.
13. Children's Privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
14. International Users
The service may process and store information in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from where you live.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date when changes are material.
